Kay's News

On the writing front, I have recently sold another short story to to People's Friend. Holy Terrors is the story of a lonely woman's encounter with a group of teenagers on a Christmas journey to Canada.

And yes, in case anyone is wondering, I am still working on my sequel to A Woman of Experience. Slowly, as you might have noticed.

On the home front, we are still waiting for summer. This may be June, but the weather is definitely winter, which in this part of Canada means rain. We had hoped to get away from it on our anniversary cruise to Alalska, but it didn't work out that way. Our voyage began with more rain and ended with gale force winds that prevented us from docking in Ketchikan. A huge disappointment to us all which wasn't handled well by the cruise line. More on that in my next News. Still, it was lovely being with family, and Glacier Bay was as spectacular as always. We even saw sun there. I hope to have photos up shortly. Gregorys don't often move fast.

Riley enjoyed his holiday with dog-walker, Charlotte. When he returned home he bypassed his anxiously waiting family and headed straight for his bowl - in case food had magically appeared while he was gone. It had. Cheese. Cheese consumed, he condescended to admit he was rather pleased to see us.

Best wishes to all for a warm and peaceful summer - and if anyone is waiting for rain, please help yourself to ours.
